2026 Florida League Playoffs Underway

SANFORD, Fla. - The Florida League Playoffs began Monday night. For just the second time in Florida League history, the playoffs begin without the defending champions, as the Orlando Snappers will not have a chance to defend their title.

Florida League Championship Series

Both the Sanford River Rats and Leesburg Lightning have won five Florida League titles. At the end of the weekend, one team will join the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs at the top of the FCSL with six championships. The two previous meetings between Sanford and Leesburg in the Championship have gone the way of the River Rats, witb Sanford sweeping in 2020 and winning at Tropicana Field in 2015.
